“The priority of the Trump administration is to protect America's borders. Successful deportation flight this week [to Kosovo] will keep our country safe and prevent illegal migration in the future”, said the embassy's announcement.
The embassy has also thanked the interilateral co-operation that enabled the move.
“Thanks to the strong partnership between the Agency for Migration and Customs (ICE), the Kosovo Diplomatic Security Service and the Kosovo Police, we are implementing our laws and keeping our border safe”, it is further said in the statement.
Otherwise, US President Donald Trump's administration had considered the possibility of an agreement with several states to accept migrants expelled from the US.
