According to the latest report published by WHO, only 19 out of 36 hospitals remain functional, and these are also facing a severe lack of supplies, insufficient staff and extremely serious working conditions. Of these, only 12 offer a number of health services, while the rest only allow minimal emergency treatment.

In South Gaza, where hospitals still operate, the situation is alarming because of overcrowding and the large influx of wounded. Currently, only 2,000 beds for more than 2 million people are available throughout Gaza for a completely insufficient capacity to cope with the humanitarian crisis.
