(a year ago)The preliminary data from the vote count in Albania's May 11th elections shows that 8 out of the top 10 candidates voted nationally come from the ranks of the Socialist Party, while 2 are candidates from the Democratic Party. More votes have taken Sara Mile, SP candidate in the Elbasan District, by 18,626 votes. Next, Arkin Balla is ranked in Durres with 18,439 votes.
Two DP candidates, Jorida Tabaku and Ilir Alimehmeti, both in Tirana District are included on the list.
However, although Alimehmet has garnered 12,685 votes, it does not result among the winning candidates in the final ranking of the mandates.
