What App has officially launched Advanced Chat Privacy, a new “privacy protection” for 1-1 conversations, and group conversations, broadcast Periscope.
Advanced privacy of the conversation allows users to prevent others from sharing the content of their conversations outside whatsApp, in cases where additional privacy is required.
When a user activates this option, it prevents others from exporting conversations, automatically downloading content on their phones and using messages for AI functions.
“This way, all in the conversation will be more sure that no one can use content outside”, declare by WhatsApp, but there is still possibility for screenshot.
What App believes that this feature will be most useful “in groups where everyone does not know each other very well, and content is of a sensitive nature, such as discussing health challenges in a support group or organising a community for something that is important to users”.
To enable this option, you need to contact the name of the conversation and then select advanced privacy of the conversation.
What App says this is only the first version of the feature, and plans to improve it in the future to offer even greater protection. /kp
