Today's third attempt, following two VV failures for Albulen Haxhiu, the chief parliament officer

For the third time on Saturday, the new MPs gathered to establish the Kosovo assembly. After two failures, the third attempt proved successful.

The report on quorum verification and mandates passed, and then MPs took the oath.

However, the selection of the mayor failed twice.

Vetevendosje nominated Albulen Haxhiun for the post of Parliament Speaker, but in both votes, Haxhiu did not get the necessary majority -- initially 57 votes per, 20 against and 3 abstentions -- and in the second attempt at 57 per, 19 against and 3 abstentions.

The Social Democrat Initiative and two deputies of non-Serb minorities abstained.

Session aborted and will continue at 1500 today.

One of the deputies of this party that recently alluded that the VV has the necessary votes is Arber Rexhaj.

Safe in VV numbers, MP Faton Peci also said the Vetevendosje Movement has numbers for forming the new government.

On the other hand, unlike his party members who have been so loud, Albin Kurti, has been silent at all. In almost every appearance of him in the last few days, when he appeared to reporters, he has not been promoted. Among many microphones and questions, Kurt never gave a comment.

Amid his silence and numerous statements by VV deputies, it is still certain that this party has a majority.
