He spent the night in the government building, police continue to guard Dodik

Following dramatic events Wednesday evening, the situation in East Sarajevo is calmer Thursday morning, but numerous police forces remain present around the Republika Srpska Government building (RS). Members of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs continue to block side roads and prevent media from approaching [...]
Entity president Milorad Dodik and his associates are thought to have spent the night in the building, and their activities are expected to continue from there today.
Last night three inspectors of the State Agency for Investigation and Protection (SIPA) tried to hand over the arrest warrant Dodik, but were detained by the RS MPB armed forces, who threatened with force use.
SIPA reported that the act constitutes criminal offence of “armed rebellion” after the execution of an order issued by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina was prevented. The order includes not only Dodik, but RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovovic, and RS National Assembly Chairman Nenad Stevsa persecuted.
At a press conference, Dodik named the arrest attempt as “organised by state institutions” and said “would not be delivered under pressure”. He added that he feels safe under the protection of Serbian entity police, including the Anti-Terrorist Special Unit.
Recent events raise serious concerns about the functioning of state institutions and respect for the judicial order in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing continued tensions between state and entity levels.
