Rama says incumbent Culture Minister Hajrula Ceku, despite the public invitation for dialogue, is refusing to account to the public.
The first of Pristina went on to say that these interventions are meant to undermine the development of the capital and keep Pristina blocked and underdeveloped.
“Today in George Bush” Square, we face an illegal intervention of the central government, which has banned works for the project that will transform this part of the capital for the second time. It is a deliberate effort to prevent the capital's development and keep Pristina trapped and underdeveloped. Requests and reasonings for this intervention are groundless and illegal. The MKRS's Cultural Heritage Inspectorate has reportedly been interrupted by unauthorized interventions in an area where cultural heritage assets are available in defence, namely, on the “George Bush” road within the Pristina Historical Centre.
Remember, the project amounts to 18.1m euros, and according to the municipality will provide opportunities for greater greenery, recreative spaces and areas for art and culture.
