Pristina, April 11th Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi, during a statement to the media on the occasion of registering the PDK parliamentary group in the new Kosovo Assembly legislature, stressed the need for the formation of new, functional and democratic institutions in the country.
“The PDK will act fully in line with Constitution and democratic principles”, Krasniqi said, adding that Kosovo needs a government that serves citizens and addresses challenges like the high cost of living, economic development and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Chairman The PDK announced that there have been communications with all parliamentary parties, except for coalition parties winning in the February 9th elections VV, Gux and Alternatives.
“If the party that came first in the elections fails to form the necessary majority, The PDK is willing to assume its responsibility in forming the new government, with Bedri Hamza at the helm of executive”, he said.
Krasniqi stressed that the PDK has clear objectives for economic development, recovery and strengthening of relations with strategic partners, as well as advancing Euro-Atlantic integration.
