Pelivan was executed by his son-in-law, Fatmir Tarllari, following his granddaughter's claims that he was raped.
A new testimony given by the defendant's daughter has shed light on the counterfeiting of messages that led to the tragedy. At a session held Friday at the Larissa Court, the 19-year-old admitted she had forged text messages to convince her father that her uncle had abused her.
The tragic event occurred on January 9, 2024, when Fatmir Tarllari, after seeing the girl's messages, killed his friend, Erjon Pelivani, near a cement factory, just outside Volos. Tarlar shot him to death, using a hunting rifle, having been convinced by his daughter that 33-year-old had blackmailed and abused him, reports Euronews. al. Transmitt Periscope.
According to Greek police investigations, the event dates back when Tarelari received a call from the owner of the apartment where his student daughter lived.
The landlord informed Tarlar that his daughter had not paid her rent, even though he had regularly sent her money. After that, his 19-year-old daughter explained that she had been forced to give to her uncle, as he was blackmailing her with intimate photos.
She showed her father some SMS messages, which were mounted to create the impression that 33-year-old was the blackmailer and abuser. Tarlar, blindly trusting his daughter, was trapped and killed his friend.
A subsequent investigation by the Greek Police Criminal Investigations Directorate confirmed that messages sent by the girl were mounted, leading to the overthrow of the entire investigation. During her testimony in court, the 19-year-old admitted she had forged messages to convince her father that Erjon Pelivan was the abuser and blackmailer.
At the session, defendant Fatmir Tarllari said he felt bad about the event.
The trial continues and more details are expected during future sessions, while investigations are under way to fully clarify the event. /Periscope/
