In the release for the media, this was reportedly done to welcome Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands as troop contributing countries in KFOR.
“Since the beginning of 2024, five other European allies have begun contributing to the mission, in support of NATO's efforts in Kosovo, including France and Portugal, in January and September 2024” respectively.
Major General Enrico Bardoni, commander of KFOR, headed the “Cermonia. He expressed his appreciation for the coming of the new staff and underlined that KFOR's further growth testifies to our collective and steadfast commitment to sustainable security throughout Kosovo and regional stability, including support for the EU-enlightened dialogue on normalisation of relations between Pristina and Belgrade”, KFOR has said in the statement. /Periscope/
