The Ministry of Culture has again accused the Pristina municipality of avoiding the Law on Cultural Heritage on several projects launched in the capital, including at the “George Bush” square.
At a media conference, the head of the Division for Harting and Harmony of Legislation in the Ministry of Culture, Bislim Bislimi, said Pristina's municipality's actions are being described as deliberate.
“Repeatedly, we have violations of the Law on Cultural Heritage on the part of Pristina until they continue to enter protected cultural heritage areas subject to legal provisions without taking permission from the competent institution as the law defines it despite our warnings. The Pristina municipality seems to be deliberately avoiding the law and on several occasions -- ” -- he said.
Bislimi added that interventions in these areas should be controlled and that no written permission should be made.
These actions, until they are repeated, assess them as intentional on the part of the Pristina municipality and with dangerous precedent for other parties in Kosovo, encouraging lawlessness”./Periscopi/
