The blockade has halted implementation of the ministry's 4 campaign to prevent polio, a statement says, leaving 602,000 children vulnerable to “permanent paralysis and chronic disability”.
Officials say health consequences could be catastrophic.
The “Children in Gaza are at risk of serious and unprecedented health complications due to the lack of adequate food and drinking water”, the ministry added.
Israel's continuing blockade has flooded the flow of medical aid in the enclave surrounded since early March, while the United Nations warned of a deepening humanitarian collapse. /Periscope/
