Many member states, including some of the most powerful, express themselves against the continuation of the measures and assess that they are meaningless and are damaging the process of normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as the very work of the new European emissary for dialogue.
Some senior European officials call attention that member states are blocked in this direction because of the lack of unanimity for removing the measures. According to these sources, against the removal are not only states that have not recognised Kosovo, but some that have recognised its independence. They reportedly expect concrete movements from the official Pristina to enable the achievement of a consensus within the EU for the removal of the measures, rtk writes.
These discussions will be held under the treatment of the Western Balkans theme at the ministerial meeting to be held in Luxembourg. This debate will precede a work dinner, seen Sunday, April 13th, between EU foreign ministers and their counterparts from Western Balkan states./Periscopi/
