Dodik: I'll offer Trump the lithium in RS, lower the pressure on us

Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik, for whom an arrest warrant has been issued, is convinced he will not end up in prison because he assumes that the current crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be resolved through some kind of political solution, and has also announced that, even if convicted, he will continue his political career.

In an interview for Banja Luka newspaper “Glas Srpske”, Dodik acknowledged that his situation appears to be “duet”, but he has a scenario developed on what he will do if the court confirms the first instance ruling that condemns him to a year in prison and six years of ban on political activity for disrespecting the decisions of the international community's high representative.

“Even if I am prevented from running (for president of Republika Srpska), someone else will be candidate from the ruling coalition and will win. And then I'll be prime minister. They can't stop me from being prime minister and it's more dangerous for them than being president”, Dodik said.

Dodik has also said he is angry with the European Union and especially with High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas, who, during a visit to BiH in early April, clearly identified Bosnian Serb political leaders as responsible for the current crisis there.

Dodik believes he will soon be able to establish better relations with the US, respectively with Donald Trump's administration, so he assumes that international pressure on RS will be reduced. He said he is willing to offer Trump the management of the limo deposit found on RS territory./Periscope
