Dodik again sharply criticised Schmidt, challenging his legitimacy and authority, and said Republika Srpska would not respect any decision it makes, broadcasts Periscope.
He said Republika Srpska would react by suspending the implementation of controversial acts and would seek new agreements on the future of BiH.
The solution is for BiH to hand over to us Schmidt so we can deal with it, process it, close it in our prisons and judge it. If he comes here, we'll arrest”, Dodik said.
He also reiterated his challenge to state judicial institutions, claiming that the BiH Court and Prosecutorship are not defined in the Constitution and that the High Representative has no right to propose or impose laws.
Asked about the large number of policemen accompanying him during public appearances, Dodik said: “This simply shows how important I am. Police are assessing security risks and have concluded that security is necessary. ”
We remember that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a central arrest warrant for Milorad Dodik, as well as Republika Srpska Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic and Republika Srpska National Assembly Chairman Nenad Stevsa persecuted.
SIPA members tried to arrest Dodik yesterday, but RS's MPB prevented them from doing so, threatening to use force.
On February 26th, a BiH court sentenced Dodik to a year in prison and a six-year ban on replacing government positions for ignoring High Representative Christian Schmidt's decisions.
Republika Srpska does not recognise the official's competencies since he was appointed in 2021 contrary to procedures defined by the Dayton Agreement.
Dodik warned his willingness to declare the independence of the Serbian entity if Schmidt tries to lobby for laws that “further measure the rights of the BiH Serbs. On March 27th, the Sarajevo Interpol office launched an international order for its research. /kp
