The defence of former KLA leaders requires the motion to drop charges to be handed over in June

At the conference on the performance of the issue being held in Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague, they called for deadlines until mid-June to make the surrender.

Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini and Rexhep Selimi are in the courtroom, meanwhile Jakup Krasniqi is participating in the conference via video connection.

The four teams are intended to present the preview under the 130th rule together.. Wessel's defense, lawyer Dixon, also said that mid-June should be the time for the presentation.

“We demand that mid-June be the time when we must present our presentation”, Dixon said.

According to Thaci's defence, this does not mean extending the deadline.

We don't call it extensions, but deadlines, because we didn't know there was so much material... In view of the fact that we're going to present the presentation together, we propose to be 20 thousand words, each of us has the right to present 6 thousand words, so it would be 4 thousand less words than we have from”, he said.

The conference is continuing with the word of the protector of the victims.

Former KLA superiors are charged with alleged war crimes for which all of them are declared innocent.

They are in custody at The Hague from November 2020.

The trial against them has begun on April 3, 2023, and the prosecution's case has ended after two years of judicial process. /Periscope/
