Zelensky reacts from Finland: Putin is not ready to end the war, I'll talk to Trump about details of the conversation

Ukrainian President Wolfyr Zelensky has reacted for the first time after agreeing between the two presidents, Trump and Putin for a 30-day power ceasefire.

From Finland, where it is located for an official visit, Ukrainian President Wolfymyr Zelensky said at a media conference that Vladimir Putin's conditions show he is not ready to “ends” the war and that “intends to weaken Ukraine”.

“We have always supported the idea of not attacking energy (infrastructural) with no weapons,” he said at a press conference in Helsinki, as he added he hopes to speak with Trump to learn more details about his call with Putin.

Asked whether Ukraine is ready to comply with Moscow's position and stop attacking Russia's energy infrastructure, Zelensky said his country and Russia “can reach agreement not to hit the energy infrastructure” with support of US mediation.

Earlier, Kremlin said Putin had agreed to the ban on a 30-day period, following high talks between the Russian leader and his American counterpart, Donald Trump.

But Zelensky added that “cannot happen for Russia to hit our energy sector and we will be silent. We'll answer. ”

“But both Russian and Ukrainian sides can stop attacking the energy sector, our side will support this”, he said, adding that it was “part of our proposal, for heaven and sea”.

Ukrainian President also said Moscow should return all prisoners as “a demonstration of will and desire to end the fight”. Zelensky added that if Ukrainian prisoners returned, they would not return to the front line.
