Sami Halimi, an employee with more than 42 years of experience in Kosovo Railways ... Trainkos U.A., will accept today's decision to quit.
He claims he is being unjustly expelled, having refused to change his contract from indefinitely to a three-year contract.
Halimi, who has been working on the railway since the age of 14, replacing his late father, has spent his entire career in the company. According to his family, the decision on exclusion comes after changes in the organisational structure of the company, which he rejected, based on the advice of the Labour Inspectorate and lawyers who considered the move illegal.

My parent, Sami Halimi, is being fired after refusing to change contracts from indefinite to three years. Also, he's been replaced by a call from the company that's still right to change the contract.
In consultation with the Labour Inspectorate and the lawyer, we have been recommended not to sign the 3-year contract, since it is illegal to change from the indefinite contract to a three-year contract.
For this, the employer has decided to remove my father after 42 years of experience.
The parent has been among the workers with the longest experience, also praised for his work.
