Toyota said on Wednesday it would launch a total of nine fully electric models in Europe in 2025 and 2026 for its Toyota brands and premium Lexus to compete in a large EV market.

The Japanese automotive producer stressed that it will market three Toyota brand electric SUVs this year {1} new versions of bZ4X, Urban Cruiser and C-HR+ justly followed by three others in 2026.

The company will also launch three Lexus brand electricity vehicles in Europe over the next 12 months, starting with the new SUV RZ.

Toyota, the world's largest automaker for sales, has been more careful in accessing EVs than its traditional rivals.

This has helped him over the past year, as global demand for electric vehicles has slowed.

The company has benefited from the demand for expanding its hybrid line, including its largest market, the United States.

Sales of new electric vehicles increased by 37.3% in Europe in January and accounted for nearly 17% of the market after falling 1.3% to 2024./Periscopi/
