Rubio said Ukraine and the US have made a positive “opening “during the talks today, adding that the US will now take this offer “to the Russians and that “top is in their field”, Reuters writes, broadcast Periscope.
Waltz stressed that the Ukrainian delegation made “very clear” on Tuesday that they “shared the vision of President Trump for peace”.
According to Waltz, Ukraine “made concrete steps and proposals”, including accepting Washington's proposal for a full ceasefire.
He added that he will speak to his Russian counterpart “in the coming days” and that Rubio will be with G7 foreign ministers in the coming days.
As a result of this positive step forward, the president has decided to lift the suspension of aid and security assistance for Ukraine.
