According to the Kosovo Central Bank (BQK), the total revenues of commercial banks last year have amounted to 503.3m euros, while net profit has been the highest in the history of the banking system [...]
These inflows have been provided from interest to credit, as well as from banking services. The average interest rate in loans during 2024 has risen to 5.9%, while the average interest rate in deposits 3.4%.
In Kosovo, 11 commercial banks operate, out of which 8 are of foreign capital, while 3 are local. Kosovo's banking system is about 4150 employed.
