Prime Minister Edi Rama presented the “programme today Albania 2030”, emphasising the importance of the May 11th elections on providing the European passport to Albanians. He declared that with only a fourth strong mandate, the Socialist Party could secure Albania's EU membership and offer the European passport to Albanian citizens.
Our “message is clear: to give the EU passport we need not just a fourth mandate, but a strong, stronger mandate than the three terms of the bysotme”, Prime Minister Rama said. He added that no one else can equip Albanians with the EU passport within this decade, stressing that any fluctuation prevents the membership process, follows Periscope.
Rama stressed the benefits of the European passport, such as the possibility of research and employment in every EU state, without work permits, and equal rights. The European passport will enable movement and work anywhere from Stockholm to Lisbon, offering the same conditions as the citizens of EU countries”, he stressed. “This is a real historical opportunity, an open door. EU membership is there, the EU passport is there”, Rama concluded.
He also presented a new passport model, which, according to him, will be used by Albanian citizens after membership in the European Union.
