In a Facebook post, Osmani has said that the medal has been shared by Roth as a symbol of gratitude by the people of Kosovo for his steadfast commitment to Kosovo's future in the EU.
Roth is the current chairman of the foreign affairs commission in the German Bundestag and former German minister.
“As a steadfast advocate of Kosovo's future in the EU and a voice that has consistently reflected our aspirations on the international stage, tonight I decorated Michael Roth with the Presidential Medal of Meritettes a symbol of gratitude by the people of Kosovo. Kosovo's success has always been stronger thanks to friends who stand next to us who believe in democracy, freedom and our deserving country in the European family. For the protection of these values, Michael Roth, current chairman of the commission for foreign affairs in the German Bundestag and former minister, worked over 27 years of his political engagement. Thank you, Mr. President. Roth, for your industrious dedication to the approach of our two countries and commitment to deepening bilatheral co-operation”, Osmani wrote.
