Missing family members have lost faith in righteousness

Last week, institutions identified the morto remains of the three victims of the Kralan massacre in Biszhin, Sabedin Kryeziu, Mentor Kryeziu and Vehbi Halilaj. News of the boy's remains found, Kadri Kryeziu said he hardly believed it. He and family members of other violent missing persons have expressed disappointment with [...]

The war is not over yet for Kadri Kryeziu from Malisheva's Moleqan. Not without the remains of the boy Sabedin, who was found on the eve of the 26th anniversary of the Kralan massacre, from which Serb police forced him, broadcast Periscope.

When you come to me, my son's kicked, so he said you're a good head. 98, 98 of them on the wall line up to some kind of slope... It's harder than taking the evada to the edge, I'm told, if I take her to the slaughter or with them, the screech where I'm gonna go worse”, he says.

The men's torture in Kralan, Gjakova, lasted three to four days, and then Kadriun was shared with the 16-year-old Sabedin son at the time. The young people took them, and the elderly left them for Albania.

I've had it, you know, three days and three nights we've been up there without bread, which has gone down. Cry at most. There's a small ace spoon of sugar tea in your hand, I'm crying with the inngrel, you're right with me, I'm a hagrae, I gave it to the boy, I gave it to the boy”, says Kadriu.

From the time they split it until last Friday, 82-year-old says he's never been quiet, says time.

I've had a day since I've had a watch. I don't think I'm going to have a day's grave.

Last week, institutions identified the mortary remains of the three victims of the Kralan massacre in Biszhin in Gjakova, Sabdin Kryeziu, Mentor Kryeziu and Vehbi Halilajt. News of the boy's remains found, Kadriu said he hardly believed it.

I said, "How did Hysey get found when they burned?" Now masie m'u has come to know that it's safe, that it's pretty easy to work”, he says.

The remains of the 18-year-old boy, Mentori, will also be returned to Malic Kryeziu from Malisheva's Bubavec state.

“has called me on the phone and on the other hand, Malis said don't worry, said Mentor has appeared on this Malisheva three. It's his bones, he said. Even then, I don't even know what they said to him”, says Maliqi.

The history of torture in Krala and the pain, Maliqi has the same as that of Kryeziu. It's very frustrating to remember how they separated him from the boy.

That was the hardest moment for me in my life that I used to turn my head around sometimes, but he turned his head upside down and looked at me as if he wanted my help, as if he wanted to help me something, but I couldn't, I couldn't, I didn't have the strength, and he was on that road without going back on this road this island, says Maliqi.

For family members, Maliqi says that 26 years without information about Mentore were painful.

There was a time when people came to me and I was told that Mentor sent you a letter. Oh, no, no.

The state that delayed the boy's remains to find for over a quarter of a century, Maliqi has no hope of bringing justice to him.

Kosovo's “government from post-war to today has not passed the exam with us as family of the undiscovered”, he is indignant.

Bekim Blakaj from the Fund for Humanitarian Law says institutions have been able to do more on the matter of whiteling the fate of missing persons.

Kosovo's “Institutions may have been able to do more on the matter of whiteening the fate of missing persons, localising the cemetery. On the other hand, it is not good to criticize Government and Authority, because they too face interverse barriers of one of the most important ones is non-co-operation perhaps with the Serbian side, of course there are indicators that there may still be troops on Serbia's territory where our authorities have no access to”, Blakaj declares.

He is also skeptical that justice will come for them.

Unfortunately, we are not at all optimistic about bringing justice to war crimes victims. It has already been 25 years since the war ended, and it is a very small number of individuals who have been convicted of war crimes”, Blakaj adds.

Sabdin Kryeziu is expected to be buried on Friday, meanwhile, Mentor Kryeziu and Vehbi Halilaj will be buried on April 4th on the anniversary of the “Maxakra of Kralan”.
