LDK condemns pressure on PZAP: VV pressure to manipulate results must end

Through a communique for the media, the LDK says that “any attempts to distort or annul this will through political manipulation constitute a serious violation of the fundamental principles of democracy and rule of law”.

“If the will of citizens is overturned through orchestrated pressures, the Democratic League of Kosovo will take all necessary steps, using all democratic and institutional means to protect the legitimate right of our voters. We will not allow elections to be transformed into a farce driven by a power intended to distort the election outcome through pressure and manipulation”, the communique says.

Similarly, the LDK has said that the pressure of Vetevendosje Movement to influence the decision making of independent institutions and to manipulate election results must end once and for all.

The Democratic League of Kosovo strongly condemns any form of pressure exerted on the Election Panel for Anxiety and Parashtre (PZAP), viewing this as an unacceptable and dangerous intervention in a process that should remain completely independent and impartial.

The LDK expects democratic norms and the will of citizens expressed through free vote to be fully respected and unconditionally. Any attempt to distort or annul this will through political manipulation constitutes a serious violation of the fundamental principles of democracy and the rule of law.
