Kurti's refusal to the Prosecutor for the third time, Kosovo lawyer: Prime Minister Could Be Arrested in a Month

On Friday, we left behind the Constitutional Court, he ordered Prime Minister Albin Kurti to appear in the Kosovo Special Prosecutor, in the case of “State Reserve”. But even this time he didn't show up at P. SRK, although the order of the Court charged him with this, Kurt at 10:00 on the 4th [...]

Regarding Kurt's third disregard for the prosecution's invitations, Periscope has contacted lawyer Skender Moussa, who has talked about procedures on how the prime minister may be fined for refusing to do justice.

Moses said to him: Periscope that Kurti could be arrested and pronounced the detention measure for 1 month, as there is no immunity that protects him.

There is no immunity that protects any who are called to testify to criminal acts of corruption, and the ministers and the prime minister have no immunity to promise that they are related to their work. The law envisions the obligation of each citizen to testify about the white light of the criminal case. That which you see in knowledge and in that which you have sent. For failing to present the legal clause at the Court, which the witness can be fined up to 250 euros, but doesn't predict how many times he can fight if he doesn't appear, then the right to the Prosecutor's Law is introduced and the court's answer to a month's detention measure...” He said about Periscope.

According to Musa, there is also the possibility that the witness who is sometimes called will become irrelevant to be heard by the Prosecutor's Court.

And it also envisions the possibility that the witness who was called several times to be seen for criminal prosecution to be heard by the Court and the Prosecutor, but there is no kind of immunity that excludes the prime minister from having to testify to what he knows and relates to his work”, Said Periscope the lawyer.

Kurt's unwillingness to appear in the Prosecutor's Office to testify has also been made news in international media. The most prestigious media balls were filled with titles about how Kosovo's prime minister is constantly refusing to testify to the prosecutor for an alleged corruption case.

We remember that in December of last year, the Kosovo Special Prosecutor had invited Kurt to appear in the witness's quality in an open case over allegations of abuses with state reserves.

Kurti had refused to appear in the prosecution, calling on prosecutors to go and interview him in his office.

Kurti's first invitation was received on 16 December, when government spokesman, Kryeziu, had said Kurti was not submitted after being travelling abroad and had added that Kurti “has expressed readiness to welcome prosecutors to his office in one day and hours agreed on by both sides to meet the request issued by the prosecution”.

Four days later Kurt had again received an invitation from the Prosecutor, who had not yet responded favorably.

Unlike the summer of 2023, three people were arrested in the case of state reserves. Among them were employees of the Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade (MINT), led by Rosetta Hajdari, who, while presenting evidence to the Special Prosecutor, has chosen to be quietly protected, as has Kurti's Homie, Ridvan Muharremi, known as Reed. He owns a restaurant in Pristina.

In this MINT, in 2023, raids were carried out after publishing audio-incisions from which a quantity of oil, purchased in Poland, and a quantity of wheat, purchased in Turkey, had never arrived. /ALBINA ZARICHE PERISCOP
