Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has indicated that Kosovo exiles in Germany will no longer be registered as citizens of Serbia.
He has said this change was made thanks to the Foreign Ministry's work.
“Day has received very good news from the embassy in Germany, after 17 years the solution has been reached regarding the issue of Kosovo citizens' registration. Many of you have been forced to register as citizens of Serbia in the German document, which from today will no longer be repeated. I want to express my deep gratitude for the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora. A directive that ensures that they register as citizens of Kosovo has been adopted. This change has entered into force in all German countries. Therefore, honored fellow countrymen we urge you to verify and correct the citizenship registration in your” documents, Kurt said.
