To disobey the prime minister in office, Albin Kurti, to respect the court's order to give his testimony to the Special Prosecutor over the state reserve issue had also reacted to American Economic Oda (OEK).
In a media communiqué, OEK had said that respecting the legal framework is the basic prerequisite for good governance and economic development, while adding that any individual's failure to comply with court orders undermines public confidence. Read:
Each individual's refusal despite his position to follow the court's orders and to meet legal procedures undermines the public's confidence in government, as well as erode Kosovo's democratic foundation. Penal Code confirms the legal consequences of obstructing justice and misusing official authority. Any action that hinders or violates judicial processes should be unequivocally condemned, since it threatens the principles of accountability and transparency”, the American Economic House's response was said.
This statement seems to have pleased Kurt, who through his office decided to respond.
The “is not and cannot be anyone's duty, especially the commercial and economic chambers, to give legal opinions or to influence judicial processes. Businesses and economic organisations have an important role in developing the country”, KPC wrote today in a new response to Kurti's testimony issue
