In his address, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said this agreement is an important step with influence in some respects.
“in line with the strategic priorities of the Republic of Kosovo, strengthening and international co-operation, and meeting European and wider security standards, the Agency for the Protection of Classified Information under its legal mandate has established relations with counterparts with authorities with particular emphasis from European Union and NATO member states. In light of this, AMI has taken the necessary actions to operate the establishment of contacts with the NSA (National Security Authority) by the state of Slovenia, where the harmonisation of the will and willingness of both sides is achieved to advance further the achievement of the overall security agreement. Reaching the security agreement in the field of defence, classified information between Kosovo and Slovenia is an important step of influence in some respects: strengthening and bilateral co-operation, providing classified information, improving institutional capacities and supporting Euro-Atlantic integration”, Kurti said.
