The winning party, Union Christian Democrat (CDU), head of the Friedrich Merz, is expected to be the new Chancellor, along with partner CSU-Union Social Christian, is conducting intensive negotiations with outgoing Chancellor Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats.
From these talks, information about what the parties agree on and what they don't about is started to flow.
Specialised media, as is “Euractiv”, reported that it has seen the first possible coalition deal draft, specifically speaking of the European Union's enlargement vision, Klan reports. Kosovo, broadcast Periscope.
Six Western Balkan states, initiated by Kosovo, but Ukraine and Moldova are already seen as countries that may be new EU members, in a non-long period.
According to the draft, the negotiating parties to make the government argue that “the massive change of the global situation” requires a new enlargement approach, which is being called “geopolitical disobedience”.
This implies offering prospects for candidate countries, which are currently not ready for full entry into the Union, but for which access to gradual integration is needed to the European Parliament and the European Council.
According to media reports, the draft of Germans insists that the way they vote in the EU, mostly qualified, should be expanded to foreign policy, and this is done specifically to stop states such as Hungary's, from blocking measures like sanctions. Currently, the unanimous system is in force, when reconciliation of all 27 member states is needed.
Of the six republics of the Western Balkans, Kosovo is the only one that has so far not received candidate status to enter Union.
The application to receive this status took place in December 2022, but from then on Brussels never considered Kosovo's request until now. / Periscope/
