Prime Minister Edi Rama has followed his election tour in Greece, and this Sunday he held a meeting with the Albanian community in Athens.
Rama opened his speech congratulating Muslim believers for the day of Fiter Bajram.
Prime Minister Edi Rama said that someone who will return to Albania today will be better off than staying in migration tomorrow.
There will be more tomorrow than staying here. The average salary today is 830 euros, and in the fourth term we will deliver it to 1000 euros,” said Rama.
He promised that after the May 11th elections, he will return to Greece to thank this community for votes they will give for Albania's integration into the European Union.
He added that after May 11th, Albanians will all be equal, as citizens of the European Union. “We are here together, but after May 11th we will all be equal among equals,” he said.
Rama also stressed that Albania has reached a stage where foreigners respect it for what it is. “Albania today is a country that holds its own destiny and is not at the mercy of anyone. We took the land in debt and where everything was banned because of countless debts. The suppliers and companies were no longer paid after the payments for them were stopped,” said Rama.
Rama invited immigrants to vote for the Socialist Party in the 2025 elections to enable their children to have the European passport.
You have a duty as parents to give your children a European passport and tell them: Learn Greek language and Greek culture, learn Italian and Italian, learn all the languages of Europe and its culture. But you don't need to change what you are and what you write on your passport, Albanian. Because with this passport you will have, joining Eddie Rama and the Socialists in 2025, you will have the opportunity to stay here and travel anywhere in Europe and respect yourselves as equal citizens among Europeans”, Rama said.
