The AUV's announcement says that the disease is viral and that it is likely to spread quickly. It points out that this disease poses no threat to human health.
AUV stresses that in the event of confirmation of the disease presence, Kosovo has its inspection capacities prepared for its control.
“Episomatics is viral disease, with the possibility of fast spreading. It affects dual - handed animals and causes serious economic damage. This infectious disease affects domestic animals (herbs, sheep, goats, pigs), and wild ruts (druns, deer), and pigs. Clinical signs of the disease - fever and the formation of bubbles that are located in the mucous skin, the breast, the gray crown, and the space between the finger. Episomatic Law Disease poses no danger to human health. But there is economic character in production and business bans. In the event of confirmation of the presence of the disease, Kosovo has prepared its inspection capacities for bringing it under control, our country maintains free status from Episomatic Law disease”, the report said.
Episomatic Afta disease is a viral and highly contagious disease that affects claws (stupids, pigs, sheep, goats, and others), and rarely other kinds of animals and humans.
It was stressed that the infection of this disease causes considerable economic damage, for this reason it is on WHOH's list of most dangerous diseases.
