Kosovo's Chamber of Commerce and Industry has reacted after the proposal to raise the electricity price for 15% from the Energy Regulatory Office.
Through a post, the Chamber of Commerce has indicated they have waited with great concern to raise the electricity price for 15%.
“This decision is considered to have been made without proper consulting with businesses and without adequate analysis of the consequences of the increase in local producers. The series of 15% growth is taking place just two years after such growth was made by the ZERE and its consequences continue to be present in businessesIt says in response.
The BETIC has asked the Kurti government to intervene and not allow energy price growth.
“Such price hikes make the private sector in Kosovo more unfavourable to external competition and could be followed by other consequences, such as lowering production and the number of workers.” says the end of reaction from the Chamber of Commerce.
