Passengers on a American Airlines flight were evacuated to an airport floor in Colorado after a fire broke out on the plane. American Airlines reported that the plane had 172 passengers and 6 crew members who were evacuated safely.

Evacuation images showed passengers gathered on the wing of the Boeing plane, some carrying bags, while flames involved the plane.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said passengers used swollen slides to land safely at Denver International Airport.

There were no serious injuries, however, the airport confirmed that 12 people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
