It is not as popular as whatsApp and Messenger, who boast billions of users.
There are, on the other hand, some 40-70 million monthly users who use it mainly for advanced security features where the platform boasts.
The application allows everyone to inspect the code I use to control it, collect minimal information from its users, and perhaps most importantly, does not function for profit as its rivals.
This app is owned by Signal Foundation, a US-based nonprofit organisation, and provides its money through donations rather than advertising that can track users.
However, it is still uncertain.
If someone wins access to your phone with an open signal or if you learn your password, he will be able to see your messages.
