This Tuesday, the hearing of Mayor Erion Veliaj's complaint about the extent of the arrest in prison is under way, while it is decided that the American-based lawyer will not be allowed to be part of this session in the role of observers.
American lawyer Joshua Roberts, who has arrived in Albania, had a meeting Monday with Mr. Veliaj in the Durres Prison and later spoke of the media, where he said, according to the Constitution and American law, Veliaj's arrest is contrary to the law.
Joshua Roberts said he had come to Albania in the role of observers, and that on Tuesday he would observe the appeals arguments concerning the provisional release of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj.
But today it was decided that he will not be allowed to be an observer at the Security Measure Change session.
The hearing is being led by Judge Engert Pellumb, while Veliaj called the arrest unbashed and sought freedom, arguing that he could not destroy the evidence or leave the country. /euronews
