Albania's state has been banned by 120 cigarette boxers at Pristina airport, headed for London

During yesterday (02.03.2025), around 11:00, a national traveler from Albania was detained at Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari” for attempting to smuggle cigarettes. Through excellent inter-institutional co-operation and advanced analysis by X-Rey staff, authorities discovered an arm bag filled with packs of cigarettes.
After further examination, it was found that the traveler had even delivered a suitcase with undeclared cigarettes to the check. In total, 104 cigarette boxers “Malboro blue” and 20 boxers “carelia Slims”, which had Albanian state banners. All packages were seized and the case was handed over to Kosovo Customs for further procedures.
The case is another success of inter-institutional co-operation, demonstrating Kosovo institutions' commitment to fighting smuggling and increasing security at the border.
