Alarm statistics: Over 78 thousand young people in Kosovo are not in school, neither in training nor at work

Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) reports that the rate of inactive working persons continues to remain quite high -- 57 per cent -- broadcasts Kosova Prees, followed. Periscope.

The report published on the results of the Work Force Survey for the Second Muary of 2024 (TM2 2024) by the AK says non-active persons aged 15 to 64 reach 613 thousand and 29 citizens, compared with the same period as 700 thousand and 565.

The other challenge is also according to the AKS, another fact, 78 thousand and 457 young people are not at school, neither in training nor at work.

Meanwhile, employed in this period (TM2 2024) according to the AK is 412 thousand and 482, until the same period in 2023 was 420 thousand and 150.

“About two-thirds of the population in Kosovo (1 074 704) are working age populations (85 960 less than in the same period of the year). Active persons were 461 thousand 675 (8 862 less than the same period in the preceding year). Iactive persons were 613 thousand and 29 (87 536 less than in the same period of the year). Those employed were 412 thousand 482 (7000 and 668 less than the same period in the preceding year). The unemployed persons were 49 194 (1 193 less than the same period in the preceding year)”, says the report published on the results of the Work Force's Survey of the Second Muor in 2024.

“Scala of non-activity continues to remain quite high (57.0 %), but notes a percentage drop (-2.8%), compared to the same period of the preliminary year”, further said in the report.

The rate of non-activity in women was very pronounced 75, %, compared to men 39.1%.
