In the afternoon of March 31, 1999, Serbian military, paramilitary and police forces surrounded this village of about 100 houses in the municipality of Rahovec, which in previous weeks had doubled its population as many people displaced from other villages from the war had come to take refuge there, broadcast Periscope.
After throwing grenades for an hour in a row, Serbian forces gathered locals into the field and separated men from women. Women were asked to leave the village.
This massacre is one of the most terrible that Serbian criminal forces committed during the war in Kosovo.
To this day, there are still family members seeking to return the bodies of their loved ones, who, after 26 years, find themselves undiscovered.
In this massacre, in addition to the murder and slaughter by Serbian forces, those killed were then burned. Thirteen people survived this massacre.
Otherwise, for the murder and slaughter of 106 martyrs, no Serb who has participated in the Pastasella village massacre has so far been convicted.
