Political analyst Visar Ymer has commented on the current performance of candidates for MPs, highlighting key elements affecting their election by voters.
According to Ymer, success in the election race depends on several factors, including involvement in television debates, public presentation and the power of their network on the ground.
According to him, some candidates manage to secure a considerable number of votes thanks to strong support from their community, even if they are not very present in the media.
There are “people who become MPs without being exposed to public, because they have a strong electoral base in their community. If a candidate secures 5-6 thousand votes from his settlement or municipality, he needs even a few votes to pass the threshold,” Ymer explained.
“You may have the backing of the party chairman or leader, but this does not even ensure your ranking on the list, much less your victory,” He said on the show Debat Plus on RTV Dukagini.
