Trump announced his plan about a week ago after he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah.
His statement faced international criticism, with Arab and European countries, but also China, Australia and Brazil, which strongly opposed the shift of the Palestinian population.
I am determined to buy and own Gaza. As we build it, we can give other states in the Middle East parts of it. Others may do it under our auspices, but we are convinced to own it, take it and make sure Hamas does not return. There's nowhere to go back there, there's only one destruction site”, Trump said.
Speaking of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, Trump said he is losing patience after seeing the images of the release of the last three Israeli hostages.
He also spoke of Russia's war in Ukraine, which he said he wants its end. Trump reiterated that with him the war would never have started. /euronews
