Sa SCUK: Over 4 thousand and 500 patients operated their eyes on QKUK during 2024

Kosovo's Hospital Clinical and University Service has announced that over 4 thousand and 500 patients operated eyes on QKUK during the past year.

Through a media report, this service has shown that number has increased by 500 compared to the previous year.

“Mbi 4 thousand and 500 patients have been operated on the Sy Clinic, of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo (QKUK), during 2024. This number has increased by 500 compared to the previous year. The increase in the number of operations and performance is made thanks to investments made by the Ministry of Health and SKKKUK, both in infrastructure investments and in human resources and medical equipment”, is said in the statement, providing further details.

Over 45 thousand expert and sub-specialistic visits to various ophthalmological profiles have been conducted in this clinic. It should be noted that gammas and types of operations, including the most complicated ones, have also increased in this clinic, which has enabled references to treatment abroad to significantly decrease”, is said in the statement.
