Our country is recently facing the departure of Information Technology officials (IT) in municipalities in the Republic of Kosovo. In this regard, former director-general of the Information Society Agency, Kujtim Gashi, says the government has had no consideration for this category of employees.
He has said leaving IT officials in Kosovo municipalities could bring serious problems.
It is true that currently the officials of the municipalities and information technology are not included in the promotion and evaluation of the information technology field experts' positions, and this could bring serious problems to Kosovo municipalities, given that currently IT officials in Kosovo municipalities have not been affected by the growth of pay in relations with what they have had so far”, Gashi said.
As for the treatment of IT officials as a particular category of experts, he says the ASHI should consider the role of technology officials in the country's municipalities.
“Of course there are measures to be dealt with as a special group by these officials, especially IT officials in municipalities, given that central institutions, in this case the government has not considered this category of employees. I have to treat them as a special category of experts, and of course A. SHI should consider the role of technology officials in municipality”, the former director general of A. SHI for the Rtv21 portal. tv
According to him, they have no salary increases despite the responsibilities they have every day in jobs.
“They don't have a single cent increase, and their salaries remain the same as they have, on the other hand, the municipal officials are the host of important processes, especially the management they do of the local computer infrastructure, normally what is most important they manage the internet platform of municipalities, and that if we don't have qualified experts who have made proper preparations and have enough IT officials, they can drop out of a task that keeps a real low coficientist and that is not included in the expert group.
