The head of the KLA War Veterans' Organisation has decided not to have any kind of co-operation with the Kosovo Government institutions for celebrating the 17th anniversary of the declaration of independence and the 27th anniversary of the KLA era on March 5th 6th and 7th.
O Chairman VL KLA in Skenderaj, Emin Lati, has indicated that this decision has been made due to the continued bypass of government war veterans and disabled.
“We have decided not to become part of the organisational council for February 17th, and for the days of 5, 6 and 7 March, because as war veterans and disabled, we have been completely bypassed”.
There were ministers who called us "mercenares," some have even said they could be anything, but not rescuers. For five years, the government has not even arranged for war disabilities “, he said, on the show “Talk to Arin” in Kosova FM Clan.
However, he has stressed that despite the government boycott, veterans will honour martyrs and participate in memorial ceremonies of these important dates for Kosovo's history.
