In an editorial dedicated to Kosovo following Sunday's parliamentary elections, British prestigious “The Guardian” wrote that the newly formed Kosovo government should be pragmatic and not the type of Kurti's nationalism “with us or against us”.
Tititull article “A gateway to approaching the EU”, the British newspaper writes:
“The EU has a new foreign affairs chief in former Estonia Prime Minister Kaya Kallas and a new special envoy for the normalisation of Kosovo and Serbia to Danish diplomat Peter Sörensen a regional specialist. Britain's new special envoy to the region, Karen Pierce, was an ambassador to the US for five years.
This offers the opportunity for a new beginning in relation to a country that has created a democracy that works well in the most challenging contexts. Kosovo's future government should be more pragmatic and less motivated by nationalism “you are with us or against us” of Mr. Kurti. But the West must do more than afford it halfwayS”.
