The Central Election Commission has announced that 80.1 per cent of those registered in the diaspora have voted for the February 9th elections.
In this case, CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi told Clankosova.tv that 15 thousand and 352 people have voted in diplomatic representations, while in mail 68 thousand and 712 people.
Elez said this percentage could change after the vote assessment process that has been accepted by mail.
“According to preliminary data, the number of votes in the diplomatic representations in which the vote took place, on February 8, 2025, is 15,352 out of 20,324. Meanwhile, in terms of the rest of the vote from outside Kosovo, voting via mail, in CEC mailboxes in various states, 68,712 packages of balloting have been accepted. In general, from voting to diplomatic representation and from accepted packages, the percentage of turnout in the vote outside Kosovo is 80.10% (this percentage could change after the evaluation process). In general, the number of Kosovo citizens registered for voting outside Kosovo was 104,924 voters”, Elesi said.
