Today, the counting of votes by diplomatic representatives begins

At the Centre for Counting and Results today, starting at 4: 00 p.m., the diaspora vote counting process will begin from voting to diplomatic representations.

The news has been confirmed by Central Election Commission spokesman Valmir Elezi.

“announced that the voting counting process in diplomatic representations, held on February 8th 2025, will begin on February 26th, at 4:00 p.m., at the Numbers and Results Centre”, Elesi has declared.

In addition to voting through mail, Kosovo citizens living in diaspora for the first time have been able to vote physically through diplomatic representation, that is, after legal changes have been made.

The vote outside Kosovo has been held at 30 diplomatic representations, with a total of 43 seats. Out of 20 thousand and 324 registered voters, 75.57% of them have voted, or 15 thousand and 352.

The Central Election Commission on Friday has ended with the counting of candidates' votes for MPs and verifying them for political subjects.

According to data released by this institution, the Vetevendosje Movement has received 40.90 per cent of the vote, the Democratic Party of Kosovo 22.03 per cent, the Democratic League of Kosovo 17.64 per cent of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo 7.46 per cent.
