Albanian and Italian KFOR soldiers, along with Hungarian trainers, perform exercises for control of the crowd and Hungarian trainers from the KFOR Tactic Reserve Battalion have conducted a drill to maintain control of the crowd and riots, and for Firefox to maintain their high operational readiness.
KFOR in a statement said a phase of activity was held in close co-ordination with the Mobile Support Development (MSD).
“Chropic training issues was the management of lighting tools. Training aims to prepare to cope with the threat of fire with consciousness and success, maintaining self - control and full capacity”.
KFOR reiterated that it continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to contribute to a safe environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, “at any time and impartially”.
KFOR said it works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission to Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
