A sedentary lifestyle, overweight, and bad habits, such as smoking and consuming alcohol.
These are the main threats to the health of Italian teenagers. In fact, 20% of teenagers aged 15 to 19 never participate in any form of physical activity or sports. Such unhealthy behavior usually begins at an early age and continues throughout the years. In fact, over 25% of young people lead a sedentary life, and 19% of children are overweight (9% are obese), with a higher mortality rate in males. Moreover, 10% of young people smoke and 21% consume excess alcohol.
In this context, to promote sport and generally “healthy x2> to young people, “InFormaTeen” has been active for over a year. This national campaign is promoted by FOCE (Federate of Oncologists, Cardiologists and Hematologists) along with the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), FIGC (The Italian Football Company) and Italian Poste, with the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The campaign includes an internet portal and a profile in TikTok, ANSA writes.
These channels convey messages about healthy lifestyles, and young people can find helpful and certified information. /Periscopi/
