Gordon Murrays S1 LM has made history selling for $20.63m (about 17.9m euros), becoming the most expensive new vehicle ever sold at auction.
The auction took place in Las Vegas during the weekend of Forum 1, where this rare ultra car sparked a strong bidding race among collectors.
The S1 LM is one of only five units produced, all originally purchased by a mysterious collector who decided to sell one of them, follows the telegraph.
The show began with the arrival of the car, which was taken by helicopter for an impressive presentation.
The winner of the auction not only owns a unique hypercar with Cosworth V12 engine climbing up to 12,100 rpm, but will also co-operate directly with Gordon Murray for personalisation of each detail.
The record sale of S1 LM shows that the market of extreme supermacs continues to break borders and attract staggering amounts. /Periscopi/
